I have said on many occasions 'The more things change, the more they stay the same'... And indeed this is so true. Lots of things may change, the environment, the destination, the climate but the fundamental and important values one has in life often stays the same.
To be the person you want to be, should be where you set your sights. The horizon need not be far away and the best things in life are normally closer than you think.
Things have certainly changed on quite a huge scale for me, both physically and psychologically. I spend my time in different locations and being with like-minded people is what keeps me energised and enthusiastic every single day. I am inspired by those in my life; some older and some much younger! In the past I have felt as though I had been drifting off piste occasionally, but wise words from someone so very dear to me reminded me of the person I want to be, by saying 'stick to the plan'... Having said that, I have enjoyed every single experience I have endured, good and bad and even though some of the events can only be labelled as somewhat challenging, it has been these times that have shaped me, made me stronger and drawn me to the place where I feel so much at home.
The horizon should be one that we can see, one that we can believe in and one that we can share with those close to us.
~ “Sometimes the most ordinary things could be made extraordinary,
simply by doing them with the right people.” ~
Have a glorious September!
