Serendipity

Serendipity

This month has brought me some personal changes and I can say that some of my changes have been spurred by these empowering words...

"What Would You Attempt If You Knew You Could Not Fail?"

I first heard these words being spoken by Regina Dugan, an American businesswoman, inventor, and technology developer. Wow! And I mean WOW! If you take one moment to think of all those things you would like to do knowing that you could not fail, it is mind blowing. Even though failure plays a big a part in our lives as do successes, then why do many of us hold back because of the fear of failure? So what if something we do does fail? Failure can be the catalyst that leads us to bigger and greater things. It should encourage us to do better. We can draw strength from failings and this is why I say that you should not be afraid of failure.

This February has certainly been quite an adventure. Have you ever found yourself moving in one direction only to find yourself being shunted into another? And then... and then to find exactly what you didn't realise you were looking for! Welcome to the wonderful world of serendipity!

In this particular case I am referring to my search of a venue to host my Talk About Town debate in Nice. A lightbulb moment from a dear friend, led me to a superb little venue in the heart of Nice and all I can say is 'thank goodness for the milk of human kindness'! In my article 'A Little Haven In A Mad Mad World'... all will become clear.

March is the month of mimosa and springtime, and on the 8th women globally celebrate International Women's Day. I can only say why stop at one day! Celebrate being a woman everyday!

On Sunday March 27, the clocks will go forward by one hour at 1am. This year, it should be fairly easy to remember as it takes place the same day as Easter Sunday.

Wishing us all the most fabulous month!
