Love Matters
How are you feeling? Really, how are you feeling? I ask the question because it seems that every day we are seeing nothing but bad news. But this isn't just ordinary bad news... this is terrible too close to home kind of bad news, full of tragedy, horror and sadness where lives have and are being destroyed and attitudes changed forever. We turn on the TV... bad news, social media not as buoyant as usual and more and more of us are using the platform to vex and expunge our inner thoughts. As for the newspapers... well... sigh!
Enough I say! I know tales of puppies being rescued don't sell newspapers, and neither do stories of strangers helping fellow human beings on the street. These stories never makes the headlines but they are still the ones we crave, stories that fill us with hope, joy and motivation. I am not saying we should erase or be blinkered by what is happening around us, in fact I think quite the opposite as I believe in being proactive but there are also wonderful things happening too and it is important to have balance in our lives. There are ways we can combat sadness and even turn adversity into opportunity. In difficult times people need people and shared experiences can lessen the burden more than you may realise. So whatever is going on in society don't let it divide us, let it bring us closer together and don't be afraid to reach out. Togetherness is so powerful.
For me love matters and love, however cliche this sounds, makes all the difference to each and everyone of us. Love gives us strength, it warms our hearts and so let love be the driving force to making every day the best day. After reading all our articles and features this month, come back to read these heartwarming stories to remind to remember us of how important it is to focus more on what is good around us. These stories moved me and made me smile: Olympic Runner Who Once Couldn’t Afford Shoes Now Donates Kicks To Kids or How YogaBellies Founder Cheryl MacDonald Turned Redundancy Into A Business Empowering Mums or From asylum seeker in Italy to organic yoghurt entrepreneur and finally... for our animal story, these before and after haircuts will certainly make you smile! This month we share with you a personal story of what happened on the 14th July in Nice. We must never forget what happened and we can never change what happened but we can change how we channel our energy with everything we do right now. Don't be afraid to tell people how much you love them... You cannot overdo that loving feeling. Love has no boundaries and love knows no limits and this is why Love Matters.
Have the most wonderful loving August!
