| Description: | The old port area of Ventimiglia is pretty and unspoilt. The lungomare (promenade) is lined with small restaurants on stilts jutting out over the beach, and the whole port area is a suntrap; a good place to escape the chill winds of winter.
From here you can walk round the coast to the sandy beach at Calandre, popular with surfers and sunbathers alike. I should keep quiet about this gem but I can't resist giving it a plug. | ||
