Vino di Mandorla

The Almond Wine is a recipe from an antique tradition which has always belonged to the Turrisi family in Castelmola, who up to this day maintain vivid this art of winemaking.

This elixir is an encounter between a dry white wine, aromatic herbs, almonds, and essences which render it refined and unmistakable. A wine which delights the senses with the first sweet taste, however the 'amara' after taste, typical of almond.

The aroma captures the feminine mystique, which reflects the inspiring muse for all its qualities , sweet, velvet, soft, aroma, ...amara.

Aromatising the wine is inspired by a desire to present to the world the essence of Sicily, rich in every sort of richness which forms part of the very profound secret of the Almond Wine. It is best served with ice and a small piece of orange or lemon rind, which elevates the flavour even more .

Deborah Chambre Young- I can remember I bought a bottle of almond wine from a traditional old shop in Castelmola in 2009. It was lovely and very sweet!

Anna Fill- I also bought mine from Castelmola. I really enjoyed the taste and that sweet aroma. It is such a surprise. I think it is a great after dinner drink.
