Senso One & the Young Optimist Sailors

Monaco is welcoming young sailors from all over the world and following the arrival of the Argentines who are the favourites for this race, it was the turn to the Russians of Vladivostok’s Seven Seas Yacht Club and those from Tanzania to disembark in the Principality to participate in this weekend 4th Monaco Optimist Team Racing from January 11th to 13th, 2013.  It is a regatta by teams of 4 Optimist that will reunite 12 international crew, composed of young sailors from 12 to 15 years old, representing 10 nations, coming from the four corners of Europe, Russia, Tunisia and for the first time Argentina and Tanzania.

On January 9th and 10th the Monaco Yacht Club organises a training camp called the YCM Winter Team Racing Clinic. And to discover and sensitise to the marine world on Wednesday, January 9th they will be going out to sea on board Senso One (Ex Maricha IV) the fastest in the world monohull sailboat, 43 meters long with  1000m2 sails surface, plus a pedagogue visit to the Oceanographic Museum.
