On Tuesday, January 15th the Argentine Embassy in France organized a Tango concert with the group « Siga el Corso » at the new Theatre of Muses at the Jardin Exotique in Monaco.  The venue was a former bakery and is privately owned and run by Anthea Sogno, an accomplished actress, playwright and theatre director. It is a truly welcoming space with 100 red velvet seats that were filled to capacity by an audience captivated by the lyrics and music of the Tango marked by nostalgia, expressed through melodic instruments, including the bandoneon, that possesses a mysterious personality as it breathes in and out, sounding like a choir of voices in the musician’s hands.

As proof of their known hospitality everybody was invited to enjoy Argentine wines after the show. This was one of the the many events planned by this Embassy, and later this year there will organize an Argentine Gastronomic Festival with the participation of several restaurants in the Cote d’Azur who will include this country’s regional products in their menus, another Tasting of Argentine Wines, participation in the Market of Colors and Flavors of Beausoleil and more. Stay tuned.
