Italian singer and songwriter Biagio Antonacci was born in Milan. He participated in the Sanremo Music Festival back in 1988 and his songs are frequently aired on radio.

On 1st September 2005 in Hollywood, Biagio Antonacci received the award for "Best Male Selling Italian Artist" for over a million copies of his album Convivendo sold by early November.
