Diego Fasolis with Cecilia Bartoli and “I Barocchisti”

The Italian colatura mezzo-soprano opera singer and recitalist Cecilia Bartoli was truly sublime, enchanting the monegasque public that filled up the Salle des Princes of the Grimaldi Forum singing early baroque arias of various moods and styles from little-known Italian composer Agostino Steffani (1654-1728) with instrumental interludes, from her recently release album “Mission”.

The renowned Diva was accompanied by the Swiss-Italian orchestra « I Barocchisti » internationally recognized for their interpretation of ancient music with period instruments, under the direction of virtuoso Diego Fasolis from Switzerland who played the clavecin while conducting.
