HRH Princess of Hannover, godmother of this project, inaugurated the paintings made by a travelling team of professional artists from the Paint a Smile Foundation in the Paediatric Service of the Princess Grace Hospital of Monaco, in the presence of H.E. Michel Roger, State Minister, Stephane Valerie, Government Counselor for Social Affairs and Health, Patrick Bini, Director of the Hospital and Andre Garino, President of the Board of the Hospital.

After several fundraising events organized at the Yacht Club of Monaco by a small local committee, and thanks to generous donors the Paediatric ward of the Princess Grace Hospital was transformed into a colourful, cheerful and friendly area with paintings around the theme of the Circus. The objective of the Foundation is to make more bearable the medical stays by the young patients and their families turning impersonal places into colourful environments providing the needed relaxation and comfort.
