Victorious: Benjamin Balleret & Guillaume Couillard and Teams salute after match

Day two of the Davis Cup, the Monegasque team of Benjamin Balleret and Guillaume Couillard won the doubles in three straight sets against Latvia, after playing flawless tennis with a passion while encouraged loudly by the public including Paul Masseron, Minister of Interior and Sports and Culture of the Principality and his wife Odile. They also got help from opponent Latvian Ernests Gulbis who was upset throughout the whole match, and his negative attitude played right into the Monegasque hands.  The score stands at 2-1 in favor of Monaco and tomorrow Sunday will be the defining day with two singles to be played starting at 11:00hs, Balleret will meet Gulbis and Jean-Rene Lisnard will face Andis Juska. Don’t miss the final battle and bring your Monegasque flag.
