Andy Murray

Rafa Nadal (3), Andy Murray (2) and Tomas Berdych (4) sailed through their matches winning in two straight sets. Only Djokovic (1) struggled losing the first set to Russian Mikhail Youzhny who made him work for his money. Djokovic declared he had twisted his ankle again during the match but the tape was good, endured the pain, to prevail winning in three sets.

Other players who completed the second round victorious were Finnish Jarkko Nieminen, Italian Fabio Fognini, Croatian Marin Cilic (9),  German Florian Mayer, Swiss Stanislas Wawrinka (13), Austrian Jurgen Melzer and Argentine Juan Monaco (14).
