Rafael Nadal

Spaniard Rafael Nadal prevailed in two straight sets against Frenchman Jo-Wilfred Tsonga after a fierce battle that ignited the fans in the stands at the Rolex Masters in Monte-Carlo. In the second singles match of the day World No. 1 Novak Djokovic had an easy win dismissing a more subdued Italian Fabio Fognini in only 51 minutes. Tomorrow Sunday will be the final showing for the coveted trophy, with Djokovic challenging the defending champion Nadal who will try to go for his ninth consecutive victory in Monte-Carlo.  The two players will be meeting for the 34th time, with the Spaniard leading the Serb 19-14 in their FedEx ATP Head2Head series.

In the doubles front the American Bryan Brothers won their match today and will be playing the final against the pair J. Benneteau (France) / N. Zimonjic (Serbia).
