Nico Rosberg

As predicted it was German born Nico Rosberg of the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team who won the Monaco Grand Prix F1 from pole to flag, emulating his father Keke Rosberg’s victory 30 years ago.

The Red Bull Racing Team gained access to the podium with Sebastian Vettel second and his teammate Mark Webber third, while Rosberg’s colleague Lewis Hamilton failed to make it to the pulpit. It was quite an eventful and dramatic Grand Prix that was red flagged after a spectacular crash plus several lengthy safety car interventions.

HRH Princess Charlene at the wheel of a specially customized Lexus

In this all men’s race the highlight of the day was to discover it was HSH Princess Charlene who was at the wheel of the specially customised Lexus driving on the circuit with HSH Prince Albert as the co-pilot, just before the race started. Go Girl!
