More and more women are being diagnosed with breast cancer. It seems we keep on hearing about someone we know personally who is being treated for breast cancer.

Breast cancer may be known as the silent killer but it does not have to be fatal.

The worldwide breast cancer website states that, in 2010 1.5 million people worldwide will be told they have breast cancer. It is also estimated that 1 in 4 women with cancer in the world, have breast cancer. Half of these live in highly developed countries.

In France, women between the ages of 50 to 74 are systematically invited to perform a mammography every second year.

Breast Awareness

It starts with you. Self-examination is the most important step. Being breast aware simply means getting to know how your breasts normally look and feel at different times of the month. If you notice a change that isn't normal for you, talk it over with your doctor. Get into a routine of checking frequently. It only takes a few minutes.
