There is a saying 'The more things change... the more they stay the same'. What does this actually mean? It says that this is a proverb making the observation that turbulent changes do not affect reality on a deeper level other than to cement the status quo. Very profound... (Plus ça change... In French and Più le cose cambiano... In Italian)
The Riviera Woman has been through many changes and will be embarking on a few more. We are very excited about that and although the changes will take place, certain things will stay the same... Me for one, and more importantly, what we stand for. We have never conformed to other publications, and we have at times been quite the pioneers. We keep our heads in the sky but our feet firmly on the ground. Since 2007 The Riviera Woman has encountered so many situations and met with a phenomenal number of people. We have always made it our mission to look at everything through the positive eye. There is plenty of news around to bring us down and make us feel low and we don't feel it necessary to do that or more to the point, it isn't what we are about. So this is as good a time as ever to say a very big thank you for the ongoing support and the interest you have shown in what we do at The Riviera Woman. Long may that continue. Remember, change takes place in many ways... There are things we have no power over but when it comes to yourself, you are in control and it is up to you to change because no-one will do it for you. Embrace change... and enjoy it.
