I am a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist. I have been working in France for over twenty years, with both French and English-speakers of all ages. Following several years in a medical environment, I have experience in problems related to long-term illness and hospitalisation for patients and their families, including palliative care and bereavement, but also with eating disorders and psychiatry. In my daily private practice, I deal with all ages and a variety of problems for French and English speakers, whether these are ongoing or appear in a context of crisis, in family life, the work place, school, relationships, illness or some sort of "existential quest"

Why do people make contact with you?

What leads someone to make contact is usually because something has arisen (either in their family life, a relationship, the work environment, or else concerning their physical health) which is preventing them from otherwise feeling OK and going about life more peacefully. I have an anglo-saxon background, but have been in France for nearly 30 years, so often I am dealing with problems for expats or "inter-culturality".

How do people benefit from your help?

While every individual (and their situation) is unique, most people find it beneficial to talk confidentially with someone outside their circle of family, friends and/or colleagues.
