The 8th March is a day dedicated to women: International Women's Day. In Russia, this is a public holiday for women and the day is one of the most romantic holidays of the year, in much the same way as Valentine's Day.

It was a pleasure to share in the splendours of an evening dedicated to women at the Carré Doré Contemporary Art Gallery in Monaco. The owner Ludmilla Arsenieva hosted an event which featured a fashion show by Escada, beauty tips from Beauty Angels and we were treated to a jewellery exhibition by a new and dynamic designer Tatiana Anatolý.

The delicate background harp music performed by students of the Music Academy of Monaco added to an ambiance which was richly filled with culture.

One of my favourite pictures by the incredible contemporary Russian artist Konstantin Khudyakov is his interpretation of
'The Last Supper' which is displayed in the Art Gallery.
