Monsieur Henri Fissore is Monaco's ambassador to Japan, Australia and Portugal and carries plenipotentiary powers, that is he is able to make decisions on behalf of the Monaco Government.
A month or so earlier The Riviera Woman interviewed Ambassador Fissore at a JCI meeting concerned with developing Monaco's image abroad (see our report) and he was kind enough to extend an invitation to meet with him again to ask about his role as ambassador. This meeting followed a couple of days after the opening of the Kyoto-Tokyo exhibition at the Grimaldi Forum, for which Ambassador Fissore played key roles both in organising the exhibition and in managing the visit of Prince and Princess Hitachi of Japan to open it. Prince Hitachi is the brother of the Emperor of Japan making this a very important visit to Monaco.
The location for our interview was the newly-opened CREM club, which is rather like a London Gentleman's Club but available to both men and women who are foreign residents of Monaco. This comfortable location provides an ideal meeting-place for business or relaxation.
