On Saturday 9th January, I went along to Port Hercule in Monaco to interview Alexia Barrier, who we first met back in September at the Monaco Yacht Show, where news of her scientific voyage was first launched. (See here)
The extremely wet Riviera weather did not deter the group of supporters and friends who came to take part in the 'Christening' of her boat "4myplanet".
The Riviera Woman will be returning to Monaco on Monday 11th January, where the five month voyage begins.
In the second video we see Alexia start her five month world tour in blazing sunshine.
