For June Deborah Sheffield of Corkers Fine Wines has selected a Rosé.  Domaine Piqueroque Côtes.

Domaine Piqueroque Côtes de Provence Rosé

This wellbalanced wine is best served with Mediterranean-style appetizers, grilled fish, spicy Asian food, or simply as an aperitif. An excellent value wine derived from 70% Grenache and 30% Cinsault, blended into a fruit driven dry rose.

Current owner and winemaker, Max Hubbard, is an Englishman who learned the art of winemaking in Australia, after first working in the wine business in London. He chose Piqueroque for its ideal terroir of rocky limestone and clay. Pale coral pink in colour, with a delicate nose of strawberries and fresh summer fruits, and a palate of red berries and nectarines, this is a seriously refreshing wine. The dry finish makes it a perfect aperitif but it is also a highly versatile food wine; in Provence they drink it with everything from salads to spicy pizzas.

This is available from Corkers Fine Wines at 5.38 euros TTC.

Please email info@corkersfinewines.com or call 0493 775 113 for further details.
