Château d'Astros Rouge 2001

This wine is made from Syrah  (80%) and Cabernet-Sauvignon (20%)

Traditional vinification in maceration tanks where the grapes ferment in contact with the liquid phase and grape skins.
Alcoholic fermentation lasts an average of 20 days at a temperature of 30°C.

Tasting:

Beautifully bright ruby red colour.
Powerful nose featuring aromas of red fruit with spicy notes.
Frank and balanced attack. Generous and supple matter. Wonderful length. Liquorice and red fruit aromas.
Balanced and aromatic wine and a perfect pairing with dishes in sauce, game, and red meat with spicy flavours like rib of beef with morel mushrooms.

Serve between 11 and 16° C.
