Burning Times
It certainly has been a long hot summer. Not that I am complaining of course. But where is it going?
We admit we have to take it a little slower, in case we miss the summer completely. Having said that, Wendy and I have still been keeping up with what The Riviera Woman wants to share with you.
A trip to the Mercantour to see Leslie Frasier at her home, was an absolutely wonderful experience. Wendy had not been to the area and we are delighted to be able to continue the story of how Leslie is taking charge of keeping the mountain cats at bay. Through community funding and donations, Leslie is wanting to make sure that the furry friends are well taken care of. Read Wendy's Mercantour article.
Leslie marks the spot for the Cat Sanctuary
The first Sunday in August allowed me to indulge in a little bargain shopping at the Ventimiglia annual street sale. Who can resist a bargain? And it certainly wasn't just the ladies!
With soaring temperatures, meals are predominently salad, salad and more salad. To make a summer dip, try this quick and easy Guacamole recipe.
Wendy gives us a wonderful insight of this famous strip of coastline 'The Riviera'.
Sometimes, we all have a love hate relationship with some bureaucratic issue in the area and poor Wendy knows that when it comes to telephones, she wants to dial M for M****! Don't Call Us...
It was a bit of a treat to be in touch with a wonderful singer/songwriter and musician, Andrew Handrick. We met thanks to AngloInfo but not quite as you would have expected? One day I will reveal all... I got the chance to chat and find what took him from Dublin to Vernazza in Italy. Listen to his brilliant track: Learning Curve and see a film clip and read what he said to me. Perhaps The Riviera Woman will be able to invite hime to perform live somewhere on the Riviera.
Anne Naylor never disappoints us with her weekly article and always gives us time to reflect. Anne tells us how to Enrich our Lives.
And finally... Kate Cobb keeps us upbeat and motivated. Kate's latest career article asks us to find out more about ourselves. Go on tell us... 'Who Are You?'
As always we at The Riviera Woman want to know more about you. The Riviera is about you and The Riviera Woman is For You By You
I hope you enjoy the rest of August and we look forward to catching up again very soon.
Lots of Love,
ANNA
