My Business

Anna Fill - Editor, Presenter and Promoter.

What is The Riviera Woman?

The Riviera Woman is an online magazine that I created back in the early part of 2007.

Why did you create it?

I created the site because I wanted to develop a platform that allowed me to meet inspirational women and men on the Riviera who are part of the community, giving me the chance to raise their profile and hear their story. I also wanted to have a website that promoted art and artists of all kinds.

Why did you create The Riviera Woman on line?

This was simply down to practicality and to the fact that I could see a shift in how we looked at media and publicity. When I started there were very few online ventures on my level and I could see the advantages and foresee that technology was the way forward as a social media publicity tool. Being online allows things to be immediate. And I am an action kind of person. I love talking about people and capturing the moment.

What makes The Riviera Woman different?

As editor, I made a desicion to focus on the personal touch. I find it rewarding to talk about people and what they are doing. I like to see articles that are written by real people or feature things from a differnet angle. It is very easy to populate a site with press releases... I didn't feel that was the right path for The Riviera Woman.

What is your role?

The Riviera Woman is in its 6th year and I have spent a great deal of the time listening, watching and learning. I used my communicative skills, passions and love of people to establish The Riviera Woman as a platform for publicity and promotion - be it a product, service or person. Our slogan is: "Talk to us because we'll talk about you. It's what women do"... and we do it well!

So to answer the question: I am an Editor, Presenter and Promoter.

Define your roles?

As an Editor, I control from A to Z the management of The Riviera Woman. I take resposability for its content and I prefer to promote subjects that are inspiring and uplifting. As a Presenter, this goes back to my days as a music presenter of over 20 years. I promoted music and educated people through music. Music is a plaform that can reach anyone and everyone. I also present for interviews, meetings and conferences. As a Promoter, I work with individuals or companies to raise their online presence, advising on how to use their websites effectively and successfully, adding social media and my own site as tools to maximise the overall impact. It is not what you do... It is how you do it! I can be a help to your business.

What are your ideals?

I believe in making the best use of what is available. If we employ people, value their skills, reward their achievements and treasure the experience they bring to our enterprise. In this post-recession, zero-growth world, sustainability is the new buzzword and success can still be achieved, recognising and enhancing our strengths by encouraging cooperation and shared aims.

Favourite saying?

'Live for today, Dream of tomorrow, Learn from yesterday'.
