Art and Artists

Featured Artist: Gunilla Larsson

When Gunilla Larsson isn't running her Real Estate business she enjoys painting and teaching Vedic Art in Grasse.

Gunilla, born in Sweden, had trained at the Academy of ballet in Stockholm and also in dance, song and theatre education at Charlie Rivel, Folkuniversitetet (Folk university).

Further personal development has led her to who she is today as an artist using the experiences she gained in learning about ceramics, meditation and Vedic Art.

Question? What is Vedic Art?

Gunilla: Vedic Art does not teach you how to paint. Vedic Art is a method to help you to remember how to create. And not only to remember how to paint and create art… From the beginning, when we first hear of the 17 principles of Vedic Art, we tap into the nature of existence, the story of life: where we have come from and where we are going.

Vedic Art is a navigation map. Use the compass you have in your mind and find the way to the chamber of peace in your heart. Then, when you dip your brush in the light, the space and the bliss, eternity will be pictured.

When you enter your work of art — your self-referential dialogue — you will find the code of how life can be lived and how a piece of art can open the doors of heaven and earth.

Gunilla has exhibited at many prestigious shows including Art Monaco and GEMLUC Art where her work there earned her 2nd prize, in 2012 in Monaco. And once again Gunilla has been invited to attend the 4th International Competition of Contemporary Art GemlucArt, from 1 to 15 October under the Honorary Presidency of His Royal Highness the Princess of Hanover.

Her artwork would grace any wall beautifully!
