Calendar Girls

Welcome to The Riviera Woman Chatroom.
For this special issue we went to the Bistrot de la Rague at Théoule-sur-Mer,
to meet three Dutch ladies willing to bare all to support those suffering from cancer.

We hear the words 'making a difference' very often and I can say without a doubt that the three ladies I met in Théoule-sur-Mer at the Bistrot de la Rague, are certainly making a difference by producing a calendar that features 12 models and 12 artists.

Arlette de Boom, Pauline Manassen and Meta Looij are part of the Dutch women's group here on the Côte d'Azur. I featured the story of the Calendar last month but wanted to meet them in person and support this so worthwhile cause.

This Birthday Calendar is so very special and every month it features a different model and artist. Details of the artists, consisting of ten painters and two sculptors can also be found on the calendar. They donated their time and energy for free by creating what I believe could become a collectors item. The Calendar costs €25 and all the money goes to the Pink Ribbon charity.

The next big event will be on June 18th where all the original pieces of artwork will be exhibited. Again, all the money raised from this event will go to support the charity.
