Doggy Outings

...Making dog training fun, fun, fun...

10 GOOD REASONS WHY THIS OUTING WAS SO USEFUL FOR MY CLIENTS AND THEIR DOGS

  • Clients get to master training in a new environment, a busy Italian market!!

  • Clients have a great time looking around the market and soaking up the amazing atmosphere!

  • We have two new additions to the group this week, beautiful Sara and lovely Lola!! The group gets to continue training and shaping their dog’s socialisation skills!

  • We have a yummy Italian coffee in the busy streets enabling clients to further practice their handling skills! People stop to say hello to the dogs so clients can practice their ‘say-hello’ command with their dog as people come to greet their dogs.

  • Everyone learns how to order coffee in Italian, umm… what coffee should I order!!!

  • I work with my clients, showing them how to train the various behaviours they need when working in this environment, from ‘heel’ to ‘say-hello’ to ‘leave’ and much more! We work with a wide variety of distractions including busy traffic, walking through the market and passing people, passing dogs and training around the wonderful smells drifting from the food market stalls; comprising of yummy smells of parmesan, hams, various meats, fish and much more!!

  • Clients practice making purchases, while getting their dog to ‘sit’ and ‘stay’ as they choose the item they would like to buy etc.

  • Clients take part in a class on the beach!! There are two teams ‘The Italian Stallions’ and ‘The A Team'. Clients and their dogs work to win prizes. There are several games including ‘the most number of ‘sits’ in 20 seconds and the fastest recall. There is also a quiz where dogs and owners work in teams to win prizes.

  • Next dogs are able to play off the lead and have fun!! Clients can practice their off the lead training with their dogs, practicing recall and much more!! Again this is a new environment with new stimuli to work with! Each week clients are honing their training skills and meeting new and exciting challenges. These classes/outings provide the perfect opportunity for clients to develop in their ability to train their dog, whilst positively shaping their dog’s skills and abilities too!

  • We finish with lunch and enjoy some tasty Italian food!! Well Done Everyone!!! A Good Days Training!!
