Crème de la Crem - A Shared Commitment To The Welfare Of Children

A group of 25 international women in the small Principality of Monaco who care for social responsibility gathered at CREM for an interactive discussion about Philanthropy. This event was organized by UBS in partnership with the association Ladies Lunch Monte-Carlo. Phyllis Costanza head UBS Optimus Foundation and Valerie Aubier Le Corre Head UBS Philanthropy Department in France made an interesting presentation on the value of giving back to society in a meaningful and sustainable way. CREM, the club that invites and welcomes foreign residents in the Principality, provided a friendly environment where speakers and guests alike could express openly their views revealing the marked interest of the audience in the topic of Philanthropy.

The goals of Ladies Lunch Monte-Carlo are to raise funds to assist other charity organizations to help children and adolescents in the Principality and beyond our borders. Their needs are exactly the same as those of children in other parts of the world, and our objective is to ensure their well-being and help them move forward in their development. Since its inception this association has supported 12 charity organizations and raised funds of more than  €700,000.

As explained by the UBS Optimus Foundation - We support innovative, needs-based approaches and projects aimed at advancing the protection, education and health of children in need. As an independent grant-making foundation established by UBS in 1999, we offer UBS clients a broad range of opportunities to engage in strategic charitable projects. Our professional and transparent grant strategy ensures optimal use of all client donations to generate lasting impact. Thanks to UBS covering all the administrative and wage costs, 100% of every contribution goes to the supported projects. Contributions from over 10,500 donors have enabled us to provide more than 100 million Swiss francs in support to 230 projects in 65 countries over the last 10 years.
