Jean-Sebastian Colau, Eugenie Andrin, Nathalie Stutzmann and Soprano Lisa Larsson

Friday, November 9th the Salle Garnier dressed in hot red for a the first opera of the season Duello Amoroso with beautiful music by no other than Georg Friedrich Haendel the best to talk about love in his operas and cantatas.

This project was the brainchild of contralto Nathalie Stutzmann and the Director of the Opera of Monte-Carlo Jean-Louis Grinda with the performance of Swedish soprano Lisa Larsson and French dancer and very creative choreographer Eugenie Andrin accompanied by French star dancer Jean-Sebastian Colau.

The mix media decor and lights were the creation of Laurent Castaingt while the costumes were by David Belugou. It was a unique experience to hear Stutzmann sang while at the same time direct her Chamber Orchestra Orfeo 55 that played on stage. This ingenious creation reunited all the episodes of life and affection; it was about passion, fusion of bodies and souls, love, lust and deceit.
