It's A New Era - The Riviera Woman 2012 Highlights

Every year we say the same thing... 'Where has the year gone?' When you stop to reflect, it is not so difficult to understand why. Everyone is so busy busy these days and I have been lucky to share some great times with so many wonderful people. Too many to mention, but I would like to share these with you...

In January, to complement The Riviera Woman, I launched myself as a personal promoter, helping men and women raise their profile. We all want to be the best person we can be, to grow our businesses and build futures and I not only increase my own business but those of others too. How great is that! It was indeed a: New Day and a New Dawn. I enjoyed meeting Nevia Tognia who left the circus life to become a painter. See some of Nevia Tognia's paintings on Facebook.

Enter February, the month of love and we were: On The Up and Blooming Marvellously. It was fulfilling going back to my roots as a presenter and to host a debate at the European Professional Women's Network titled 'La Bella e la bestia. What now for Berlusconi's women?' It was good to see Dani Carew launch The Amber Club, helping women be the best they can be. From just these two groups, what is evident is that women love to help and support other women.

In The Riviera Woman land, we absolutely love March: It's Well Worth Waiting For... We see all those little buds promising a magnificent floal display. The arrival of Springtime is exciting. And women celebrate poignantly International Women's Day, on 8th March. It was a pleasure to record my own special message dedicated to the women of The Riviera Woman.

Anne Naylor, Victoria James, Dani Carew, Grisel Damgaard, Anette Shine

The Month of April: It is a cracking time... brought us Easter. My emphasis was on the importance of having integrity and to remember that success comes with hard work and determination. The Riviera Woman partnered again with the inspirational art exhibition Art Monaco '12 and it was a pleasure to interview in person the founder Johnessco Rodriguez

And in May: There's No May Be About It... we went back on the road, to Cannes in fact and to speak with Trixie Buckel aged 94, to listen to her values and thoughts about marriage. Anne Naylor speaks to me about her Wealth School features. Special thanks to Beverley Holt for inviting me to the Holistical Professional Network to host the event and speak about my experiences. This was the perfect opportunity to share with you: My Musical Journey Part 1 - When The Chips Are Down.

We come to June, halfway mark but: No Half Measures... The Riviera Woman was delighted to welcome Brigitte Rupp. We call her The Financial Bodyguard. In times when we need the best financial help, Brigitte inspires confidence. What a pleasure to feature Gayle Roberts of Nice Pebbles who won the Sir Stelios and Riviera Radio Ultimate Business Award. And of course, in June we celebrated the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

As we steam into July: Ain't No Stopping Us Now... Dani Carew And myself joined forces to organise a Really Hat-tastic Evening at the Races. It was an inspirational event to bring women together, a real meeting of minds. We had speakers, we gave gifts, we had dinner and we had fun! Thank you Dani!

August was a: Crowning Glory. Working with Anette Shine is such a pleasure. She turns into a Zumba Goddess for the Greek themed Zumba party. This was the perfect way to break for Summer. Animal Behaviourist Victoria turns into a kitchen goddess, as we have fun filming her making Liver Cake for our doggy family. And I enjoyed speaking with Beverley Holt about the world of Reiki.

As we approach September: Building Foundations takes a look at paying forward and to giving. There are so many people doing things to raise awareness for those less fortunate. Two of the charities doing wonderful things are Outwood Bound Monaco that gives opportunity to children and I still have fond memories of when I spoke to Julie Hellon of Kenyan Kids. A special thank you to Celina Lafuente de Lavotha as she becomes a regular contributor to The Riviera Woman with her articles based on Monaco. Celina has done such a great deal in the world of charity and also deserves a thank you on behalf of all those she has helped.

October takes us into the final quarter of the year: Changing Times. This October I joined Victoria on a Doggy Training Holiday to Piemonte, Italy. Everyone received a treat... including doggy owners! Take a look. It was an pleasure to meet artist Fabian Edelstam and see his outstanding artwork. See a selection of his work. Good to see hard work rewarded, as Virginie Boeri Pesce launches her new lounge wear collection with a very unique theme...

As we enter the penultimate month of the year, November brings us so much colour, light and music: Let The Music Play. It was a delight to feature Narin Gylman, composer, arranger and musical director, in her own one woman musical show. She is an absolute professional. Communities coming together in the name of art, fills me with such joy. In Cap d'Ail sixteen local artists put on a show for their community with their exhibition titled Cap d'Ail S'Expose. I am delighted to offer my support to Child Care Monaco. In an interview the founders Martine Ackermann and Caroline Healey talk about the vision.

This December: December Reflections, I embraced an opportunity by sending you another personal video message, giving you my four top tips to success in Ring Your Bell. I also launched the first phase of a new website about Ventimiglia Town.

It is the 21st December and it appears that the world has not come to an end but what is fact is that as it is the first day of Winter and the shortest day of the year... So let's be positive and think that from now on the days will get longer, after Winter comes Spring and very soon it will be a brand new year, with lots of new goals to achieve, challenges to conquer and new dreams to fulfill... Bring it on!
