Life after divorce and the opportunities it can bring.
It's a subject that can cause heartache but as the topic was inspired by Dani Carew's new novel 'Redefining Amber', we discussed how you move forward to rebuild a new life and embrace new opportunities. Also on the panel were Deborah Ives and Courtney McConnel.

I spoke to many people about ther experiences of divorce. There were many who still felt unhappy and just as many who were able to turn their lives around and triumph. But there were also quite a number of women that were afrad to talk openly about it, in case of opening old wounds... even those who were now successful. I don't think the memories and feelings ever go away but they can be managed and success can only be measured on a personal level. We all have our own way of achievng fulfilment.
Hi, I really enjoyed your chatroom this month about life after divorce...Good job !!! Thanks Angela
There is life out there...
Many women, after the trauma of divorce, create and live wonderful, happy and fulfilled lives.
Some women, choose not only to move home, but to move country or continent and successfully embrace all the challenges of a new life and culture.
Many change career, developing passions and new skills, creating successful businesses and surprising themselves in a competitive world. Many ,too, pick up their education where they left off and gain qualifications they only dreamed of.
Others choose, and it is often a heartfelt choice, after much soul- searching, to rediscover love, romance, passion and trust in a meaningful relationship or indeed marriage.
Women are particularly skilled at re-inventing thamselves and finding new horizons.
As the poet Grace Nicols wrote,
'Go to your wide futures....'
Could have been a difficult subject but well handled.
